Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Pará (1997), M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Federal University of São Carlos (2000 and 2004, respectively). Post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos / USP and the Hydrogen Research Institute / UQTR, Canada. Visiting professor at the Hydrogen Research Institute of the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres (2014-2015) and Institute of Chemistry of of Bordeaux (2023). He is currently associate professor - IV at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) engaged in the undergraduate programs of Materials Engineering and Bachelor in Science and Technology. He is also engaged in the graduate programs of Materials Science and Engineering and Nanoscience and Advanced Materials at UFABC. From 2020 to 2022, he was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering. Member of the Science, Technology and Innovation group (CTIM) whoich is the EMBRAPII unity at UFABC. Main research interests are: physical metallurgy, phase transformations in metals and alloys, transmission electron microscopy, hydrogen storage, metal hydrides, characterization of electrocatalysts, nanocomposites, MXenes.
