Biologist from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) (1993), Master in Psychology (Experimental Psychology) from Universidade de São Paulo (1999) and PhD in Applied Ecology from Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ) - Universidade de São Paulo (USP) (2004). I am currently associate professor in the Forest Science Department at ESALQ/USP. I am the lead of the Wildlife Ecology, Management and Conservation Lab (LEMaC http://www.esalqlemac.com.br/). I supervise graduate students in the Graduate Programs in Forest Resources (PPGRF) and Applied Ecology (PPGI-EA). I am member of the Conservation Planning Specialist Group (CPSG) at IUCN. I have a productivity fellowship in research (PQ-2) from CNPq. My main research interests are applied animal ecology, wildlife management, biodiversity conservation, species distribution modeling and human-wildlife coexistence. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
