PhD in Nuclear Technology and Specialist in Diagnostic Physics by ABFM. Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Nuclear Physics at the Institute of Physics of USP. Has experience in the field of Medical Physics, working mainly on the following topics: development of radiologically tissue-equivalent materials, radiation protection, computed tomography, quality control in diagnostic imaging, and X-ray spectrometry. He is a faculty member and vice-coordinator of the Medical Physics Residency Program in the Diagnostic Imaging modality at the Department of Radiology and Oncology of the USP School of Medicine. He is a full member of the Coordinating Committee for the Bachelor's Degree in Medical Physics at IFUSP/FMUSP, the Medical Physics Committee of SBF, and the Deliberative Council of ABFM. Member of the Global Research and Scientific Innovation Committee and the Hispanic and Latin-x Medical Physics Subcommittee of AAPM. He has been a member of the Education and Training Committee of IOMP and the Radiation Protection Committee of CBR. He is a full member of SBF, ABFM, and AAPM. He was President of ABFM in the 2008-2009 term and has served multiple terms on the Deliberative Council. Father of Pedro (2009) and Ingrid (2019). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
