Birthplace: Brazil

Currently Substitute Professor of Physiology at the University of Brasília, teaching general Physiology and Animal Biology subjects. Professional graduated in Sports from the University of São Paulo (2009), with a Master's degree in Science (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (2013), PhD in Science (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (2018). During his master's and doctorate, he worked in the area of #8203;#8203;neuroendocrine physiology in the Hormonal Regulation of Gene Expression laboratory, in the line of research aimed at gene and protein expression of components of the somatotrophic axis in response to lactate stimulation. Also I completed 4 (four) post-doctorates: the first in Physiological Sciences at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (2019); the second post-doctorate in Sciences from the University of Birmingham/UK; the third post-doctorate in Sciences (Human Physiology) at the University of São Paulo and the last post-doctorate at the Joslin Diabetes Center (Harvard), in Boston;USA. His first post-doctorate was developed at the Laboratory of Molecular Physiology of Physical Exercise with projects related to caffeine supplementation and physical exercise, adding to the on-site collaboration at the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation at UoB/UK. He is also active as a postdoctoral fellow in the Adipose Tissue Physiology Laboratory, studying the effects of iatrogenic hypercortisolism and its implications for the plasticity of Adipose Tissue. He was a visiting researcher/postdoctoral fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center (Harvard), in Boston, in the laboratory of Dr. Carl Ronald Kahn, researching the actions of insulin on adipose tissue. It is worth highlighting his advances and strong collaborations with physiology groups in Switzerland, USA and England. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
