Eduardo José Marandola Junior

He holds undergraduate degrees (Teaching and Bachelors) in Geography from the Uniersidade Estadual de Londrina (State University of Londrina - 2002 and 2003) and a Ph.D. in Geography from the Institute of Geosciences at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (State University of Campinas - 2008), having obtained a title of the Livre Docente (habilitation level professorship, postdoctoral academic qualification in Brazil) in the General Basic Core Area (Society and Environment) (2016). He is currently an Associate Professor II (MS 5.2) at the School of Applied Sciences (FCA) of Unicamp (Limeira campus), where he coordinates the Laboratory of Geography of Risks and Resilience (LAGERR), part of the Center for Applied Human and Social Sciences (CHS), and serves as a permanent professor in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Human and Social Sciences (ICHSA). He teaches in the Graduate Program in Geography at the Institute of Geosciences (IG) of Unicamp. He is editor of the journal Geograficidade, published by the Cultural Humanist Geography Research Group (GHUM/UFF/CNPq), of which he is one of the coordinators. He coordinates Nomear the Phenomenology and Geography Research Group (LAGERR/FCA/Unicamp). Has been working on the relationships between Philosophy, Science, and Art, in search of theoretical and methodological approaches to contemporary interdisciplinarity. Is interested in the interface of urban, environmental, and population studies, particularly in mobility, risks, and vulnerabilities of corporealities situated within the experience of environmental change processes.
