Daniela Zanchet

Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Química (IQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Daniela Zanchet has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (1993), a master's degree in Physics from the University of Campinas (1996), a PhD in Physics from the University of Campinas (1999), postdoctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2000-2001, and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in 2016-2017. She was a researcher at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Technology Association from 1999 to 2010. Since 2010, she has been a professor at the Institute of Chemistry at the University of Campinas. The current focus of her research is the development and study of heterogeneous catalysts, based on the exploration of nanometric model systems for applications in strategic reactions such as CO2 conversion to products and valorization of biomass derivatives. She has experience in the area of nanomaterials, catalysis, and advanced materials characterization techniques (synchrotron light and microscopy). She is currently the Associate Director of the Institute of Chemistry at the University of Campinas, having served as the Research Committee Coordinator from 2019 to 2022. Between 2022 and 2023, she was the Topics Editor of the ACS Chemistry of Materials journal (heterogeneous catalysis and solid-state chemistry), and since 2024, she has been serving as an Associate Editor of the same journal. She is a member of the IACS - International Association of Catalysis Societies (2024-2026). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
