Bachelor's and Licenciate's degrees in Chemistry by Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (1989), Master in Chemistry (1991) and PhD in Chemistry(1995) by UNICAMP , staying 2 years in the Federal Institute for Forrest Research in Haburg, Germany ( 1992-1994). In 1996 finished the Young Researcher Project founded by FAPESP, being his Pos-Doc in Conversion of Vegetal Biomass at FAENQUIL. He was assistent professor at Engineering College in Lorena - University of Sao Paulo, where obtained the "Livre-Docencia" title in 2015, and was researcher at CTBE-CNPEM (2014). Teaches subjects concerning Organic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. Has experience on Vegetal Biomass Conversion, Agricultural Residues Utilization and obtainment of chemicals regarding biorefinery concept. The emphasis of his work in in Wood and Lignocellulosics Chemistry, acting mainly in the following subjects: sugarcane bagasse and straw, biofuels, lignin oxidation and derivatives, organosolv pulping, enzymatic bleaching, composites, biodegradation of sugarcane bagasse and straw and biorefinery of fruits residues. Specialized in Scientific Journalism by UNICAMP (2018). Currently is researcher at IPBEN-Unesp, Rio Claro-SP, Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
