Professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Has a doctorate in Education from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), 1996. Has been attached to the University of Cambridge- Faculty of Education as an Academic Visitor. Completed a post-doctorate internship at the Université de Paris (Paris X); IUFM-Université Jules Verne-Amiens and at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, researching into the subject of ?organizational climate and school violence and young people, participation, citizenship and social and professional inclusion?. Was the PhD Coordinator for the Program in Education (at Unesp-campus of Rio Claro); vice-director of the Biosciences Institute (at Unesp-campus of Rio Claro). Has experience in the area of Education, with emphasis on Administration of Educational Units and Systems, working mainly with the following topics: organizational theory; educational politics and power relationships; school violence; young people and social inclusion.
