Bachelor and Master in Physics degrees obtained from the University of São Paulo (USP), PhD in Physics (1988) from the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT). I am presently full professor at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, São Paulo State University (IFT-UNESP). I am active in Physics and Applied Mathematics. My main present research areas are on mathematical methods in biological systems, mainly Ecology and Epidemiology, as well as nonlinear dynamics in general. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
