He holds a degree in Geography from the University of Vale do Paraíba (1997), a master's degree in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research - INPE (2000) and a PhD in Geography and Environmental Sciences from the University of Birmingham, England (2004). He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Geosciences and works mainly with themes related to remote sensing of the atmosphere, meteorological radar, precipitation estimation and Geographic Information Systems applied to Meteorology, Environment and Natural Disasters.
