Graduated in Biological Sciences Medical (Biomedicine) from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1988), masters degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology in Pharmacology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (1994), and PhD in Sciences in the area of Pharmacology from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (1998). Post-doctorate at the University of Michigan in immunopharmacology (2000). CNPq researcher. She is a Full Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at the School of Dentistry of Araçatuba, São Paulo State University, and local coordinator of the Multicentre Postgraduate Program in Physiological Sciences-SBFis. She has experience in teaching and research in Pharmacology, with an emphasis on Immunopharmacology, working mainly on the following topics: renin-angiotensin system in models of inflammation in the presence of systemic diseases, 2D and 3D cell culture, mechanisms involved in bone metabolism, the release of inflammatory mediators and intracellular signaling.
