He holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - FEIS/Ilha Solteira (1994), a Master's degree in Agronomy (Irrigation and Drainage) from the same university, FCA/Botucatu (1997), a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas - FEAGRI (2002), a sandwich Ph.D. from Utah State University (2000), and a postdoctoral degree in Water and Soil Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo - ESALQ (2006) and University of California - UC Davis, Davis, USA (2017). He is currently a Full Professor at the Center for Agricultural Sciences (CCA) at UFSCar - Araras/SP, where he teaches courses such as Applied Environmental Hydrology in Watershed Management, Irrigation and Drainage, Water Relations in the Soil-Plant-Atmosphere System, and Wastewater Treatment and Application. He is also a professor and vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Agriculture and Environment (PPGAA/UFSCar). He has expertise in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Irrigation and Drainage, and specializes in Water and Soil Engineering, including wetted bulb design, drip fertigation, enhanced release fertilizers, and water reuse in agriculture.
