Has postdoctoral degree and PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2001), a Master's Degree in Solid State Physics from the University of São Paulo (1997) and Bacheor's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1994). She completed an internship during his PhD at the Friedrich-Schiller Universität in Jena Germany. She is currently full professor at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA. She develops theoretical research in the area of Condensed Matter Physics, performing simulation of new materials within the ITA Semiconductor and Nanotechnology Materials Group (GMSN - www.gmsn.ita.br). Her research is focused mainly on the understanding of the structural, electronic, optical and thermodynamic properties of solids and nanostructures. Among the current projects, the following stand out: Study of the properties of two-dimensional materials, study of semiconductor alloys, perovskites, topological insulators and development of methodology for the study of excited states.
