Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998), master's degree in Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture from the Agronomic Institute IAC (2001) and PhD in Phytotechnics from Escola Superior Luiz de Queiroz/University of São Paulo (2005). He currently works as a scientific researcher and Deputy Director of the Sylvio Moreira Citriculture Center (IAC), working in the area of sustainable citrus management. He teaches and supervises master's and doctoral students on the Postgraduate course in Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture at IAC. He is the current editor-in-chief of the technical-scientific magazine Citrus Research Technology. He coordinates the ESG certification program (FSA-SAI, gold level) of the Citriculture Center's experimental farm, the first public research unit to receive this certificate.
