He holds Licenciate and Bachelor Degrees in Chemistry from University of São Paulo (1983), a Master's Degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from University of São Paulo (1987) and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (1995), Pós-Doc at University of Florida (Gainesville-USA, 1997-1998) and Associate Professor at IQSC / USP (2004). Professor at Chemistry Department ofSão Carlos Federal University (1994-2002). He is currently Full Professor MS-6, at São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo. Has experience in the field of Chemistry, working mainly in the following subjects: thermal analysis, development of electrode materials, electroanthytic methods and contributions to chemistry teaching. He was Secretary (2000-2002) and Vice Presidente (2002-2006) of Brazilian Association of Thermal Analysis (ABRATEC) and Secretary of the International Confederation on Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (ICTAC, 2006-2012), Member of the Advisory Committee of ICTAC (since 2012).
