Ubirajara Franco Moreno

Since 2004, he has been a professor in the Department of Automation and Systems (DAS) at UFSC and serves as a full professor in the graduate program in Engineering and Automation at UFSC. He has a degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (1994), a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1997) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2001). In undergraduate education, he served as coordinator and sub-coordinator of the undergraduate course in Control and Automation Engineering at UFSC, participated in the proposition and implementation committee of the UFSC Blumenau Campus. From 2014 to 2016, he served as General Director of the Campus, in its implementation phase. He participated in several national and international cooperation projects (PROCAD, BRAFITEC, CAPES / COFFECUB, ANP-PRH-34.9 CNPq-CNRS, CAPES / GRICES, CAPES / SIU, among others), having coordinated international cooperation projects: Brazil / Cuba (CAPES / MES); Brazil / Portugal: (CAPES / FCT), Brazil / France (BRAFITEC). In 2016 he was chairman of the national committee of the 1st IFAC Conference on Cyber-Physical & Human-Systems. He worked as a Visiting Researcher at L2S (CentraleSupelec-Université Paris-Saclay), developing research in Human-Machine interaction for Industry 4.0, Social Networks and Ethics applied to Emerging Technologies. Has experience in the area of Automation and Systems, acting mainly on the following topics: Networked Control Systems, Mobile Robotics, Systems Monitoring, Human-Machine interaction; Social Networks and Engineering Education.
