Associate Professor at FZEA/USP, dedicated to transforming teaching and research through the lens of innovative extension, building concrete bridges between science, innovation, and social impact. With a transdisciplinary approach, she coordinates the All4Food Networkan international, multistakeholder initiative aimed at fostering more sustainable food systemsand leads GEPEC, a research group focused on the strategic analysis of production chains. She is one of the principal researchers at CCD Circula (FAPESP) and serves as Innovation Coordinator at CEPIx FoRC (USP). Trained as a Production Engineer, with a strong perspective on organizational economics and a deep passion for the food sector, she is driven by curiosity and a commitment to addressing sustainability challenges while promoting science and education as key tools for both public and private transformation. She is a member of advisory committees for Brazilian and international initiatives focused on reducing food loss and waste, advancing the circular economy, fostering open innovation, and promoting university entrepreneurship. She believes in the university as a space for co-creation, in the power of collaborative networks, and in science as a driver of social transformation. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to investigating and enabling sustainability transitions within the food innovation ecosystem, as well as rethinking business models and fostering the development of a new generation of managers and entrepreneurs who are aware of and empowered by their responsibility in building more circular and sustainable (food) systems. The generation of urban solid waste (USW) in Brazil significantly increased between 2010 and 2019, rising from 66.7 to 79.1 million tons annually.
