Ernane José has been a Full Professor at the University of São Paulo, where he coordinates the Laboratory of Applied and Computational Physics (LAFAC) at the School of Animal Science and Food Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (2000), a Master's degree in Physics from the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (1995), and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Viçosa (1992). In 2006, he obtained the title of Associate Professor from the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the field of Bioengineering and electronic instrumentation, with an emphasis on Biological Signal Processing and artificial intelligence, working mainly on the following topics: Digital Signal Processing, Artificial Neural Networks, and Electronic Instrumentation applied to the experimentation and monitoring of biological and environmental systems.
