Graduated in Science with a specialization in Physics from the Faculty of Sciences of Barretos (1984), holds a master's degree (1987) and a PhD (1992) in Applied Physics from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos, with a postdoctoral fellowship at Bangor University, Wales, United Kingdom (20062007). A professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology of UNESP, Presidente Prudente campus, since 1986, he served as Vice-Director (19982002) and Director (20022006). Currently, he is a Full Professor and conducts research in sustainable electronics, focusing on printed and flexible devices such as transistors, diodes, and capacitors, as well as their applications as sensors. He also supervises students in the interinstitutional postgraduate program in Science and Technology of Materials (POSMAT) at UNESP and serves as a technical advisor in the Office of the Pro-Rector for Strategic Planning and Management at UNESP (PROPEG).
