Undergraduate in Animal Science at Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias FCAV-Jaboticabal- Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho UNESP (1979), Master in Animal Production at FCAV-UNESP-Jaboticabal (1982) and PhD in Animal Science at Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1989), Post- doctorate at University of Arkansas, USA (2002) and University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (2010). Currently is Professor at Animal Science Department of FCAV-UNESP-Jaboticabal. Has expertise in Animal Science, focusing in Non-Ruminant Nutrition, acting in the research lines: Nutritional Requirements and Evaluation of Feeds to Non-Ruminant Animals, especially in: evaluation of feeds and additives to poultry and pets, modelling of nutritional requirements to poultry growth and production, based on genetic potential and efficiency of utilization of energy and nutrients of diets. Together with Prof. Horacio S. Rostagno, wrote the book: Métodos de pesquisa em Nutrição de Monogástricos", 2007. Edited the books Nutrição de Não-Ruminantes, 2014 (ed. FUNEP), and Modelling Nutritional Requirements for Poultry and Pigs, 2015 (ed. CABI). In the research line Nutritional requirements of poultry, has coordinated three thematic projects supported by FAPESP. Nowadays coordinates the thematic project Modelagem da produção e das exigências nutricionais de aves e peixes". The studies from these projects resulted in the development of a software Avinesp Modelos de crescimento e exigências nutricionais. Also coordinated several Universal projects supported by CNPq. In the research line Additives evaluation has developed projects with national and international private companies to evaluate products potential in animal nutrition. Participates in several agreements (Capes-Cofecub INRA, Proafrica, Procad, Dinter, INCT, MCT-Sibratec, rede de insumos na alimentação animal). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
