Graduated in Chemistry at the Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto, Universidade de São Paulo-USP (1976), Chemistry Professor at state schools and private high schools (1976-1977), Master's at Biochemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (1981), PH.D. at Genetics and Molecular Biology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas ?UNICAMP (1989) and Postdoctoral by East Carolina University School of Medicine (1997). Approved for Public Contest for Free-Teaching in Genetics (2004). Currently is Adjunct Professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) and has been worked in the areas of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Immunology with emphasis on the following subjects: 1) Cloning and expression of genes from Hymenoptera insect venoms (mainly wasps), biochemical and immunological characterization of recombinant allergens, 2) biochemical and molecular characterization of salivary glands of other arthropods such as ticks, 3) production and biochemical characterization of microbial enzymes. Since the beginning of all his scientific activities has been worked with over 200 authors and co-authors on papers published in journals and abstracts from congresses. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
