Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Biochemistry discipline. Current deputy director of the Technological and Social Innovation Agency (Agits), deputy coordinator of the Graduate Program in Bioproducts and Bioprocesses, and coordinator of the Specialization Course in Biotechnology at UNIFESP. Holds a bachelor's degree (2002), master's degree (2005), and doctorate (2009) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Served as a substitute professor in anatomy and pathology at the same university. Completed a sandwich doctorate (biotechnology cell biology) at the University of Amsterdam Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2008) and a postdoctoral fellowship (integrative biology of bone tissue) at Jean Monnet University University of Lyon (Saint-Étienne, France, 20112013). Holds a diploma in animal experimentation from Université Paris V (Paris, 2013). Also worked as a contracted researcher at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA, France) within the framework of a European project (RISK-IR) involving 10 institutions from 7 European countries (20132014). Returned to Brazil through the "Young Talents Attraction" program of CNPq.Has experience in clinical studies involving women with osteoporosis, in vitro and in vivo experimental studies investigating the integrative biology of bone tissue, its mineralized matrix, and the bone marrow microenvironment, as well as studies analyzing the osteogenic potential of synthetic and natural biomaterials. Conducts research in areas such as tissue engineering (bone and skin), stem cells from different adult tissues, mechanical stress, physical resources, and cytogenotoxic agents.
