Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics, Evolution, Microbiology and Immunology of the Biology Institute of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) from August 1978 to September 2017. Graduated in Biological Sciences by UNICAMP in 1975. Master in Biology (Immunology) by UNICAMP, in 1980. PhD in Sciences (Immunology) by UNICAMP, in 1988. Post-doctorate in Pharmacology by the University of São Paulo (USP / RP), with grants from CNPq, in 1989 and 1991. Postdoctoral fellow at Genentech Inc., San Francisco, CA, with a fellowship from FAPESP, in 1990.
