Graduate in Matematics from Tribhuvan University (1989), Master's in Matematics from Tribhuvan University (1991) and Doctorate in Mathematics from Associação Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) in 2004. Currently working as Full Professor (MS 6) in the Department of Mathematica, University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Has experience in Mathematical analysis, focusing on the analysis of the qualitative properties of the Cauchy problem associated to the nonlinear evolution equations of dispersive type. Received TWAS Prize for Developing World in 2006 conferred by ICTP, Italy and the "Prêmio de Reconhecimento Acadêmico Zeferino Vaz" in 2023 conferred by UNICAMP, Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
