José Maurício Sforcin is a biologist and obtained his PhD in 1996 at the São Paulo State University (UNESP). In 2006 he became an Associate Professor at the Biosciences Institute, where he is head of the Lab "Immunomodulation by Natural Products". His research interests are in the role of natural products (predominantly propolis and its constituents) in Applied Immunoloy and Microbioloy. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
