Fúlvia is Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP/Rio Claro (2001), Master's and PhD in Motor Sciences from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP/Rio Claro (2004 and 2007, respectively). She is a Full Professor (MS. 6) at the University of Campinas - UNICAMP, assigned to the School of Applied Sciences - FCA (Sports Sciences Course) and professor in the Postgraduate Programs in Nutrition and Sports Sciences and Metabolism - FCA and Postgraduate Program in Physical Education - FEF (advisor at master's and doctoral levels in both courses). She is the coordinator of Research area of the School of Applied Sciences - UNICAMP (2014-2015 and 2025-currently) and haed of the Laboratory of Physiology Applied to Sports - LAFAE - UNICAMP. She completed her postdoctoral studies abroad at the Genetics Laboratory of the Department of Genetics and Medical Genetics - University of Wisconsin - Madison - USA (2015-2016), with funding from FAPESP. She is the leader of the research group Physiology Applied to Sports, registered in the CNPq directory and member of the interinstitutional group Hypoxia, Sports and Health Team - HSHT. She worked as a visiting professor at the Universitá di Bologna - Unibo - Italy, with funding from the Institute of Advanced Study - ISA at Unibo. She is the leader of the research group Physiology Applied to Sports, registered in the CNPq directory, a member of the international and Interinstitutional Group Hypoxia, Sports and Health Team - HSHT. In 2023, she received the Zeferino Vaz Academic Recognition Award - UNICAMP for outstanding performance in Teaching, Research and Extension.She has experience in the areas of Physical Education and Sports, with an emphasis on exercise physiology, physical assessment and physical-sports training. Her main areas of expertise are: aerobic and anaerobic assessments applied to humans and experimental models, use of wearable technologies to measure physiological responses during exercise and computational and integrated analyses to investigate the different acute and chronical physical effects of physical exercise.
