Professor in the Department of Genetics, Evolution, Microbiology and Immunology at the Institute of Biology at UNICAMP. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (2005), a master's degree in Animal Biology from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (2008), and a doctorate in Ecology and Evolution from the Universidad Austral de Chile (2012). She was a Young Talent scholarship holder with a postdoctoral degree from the Science without Borders Program at USP (Ribeirão Preto campus). She has experience in the area of Ecology, but currently her work focuses on molecular evolution of mammals, evolution of gene families, Genomics and Comparative Genomics, mainly focusing on aquatic mammals. She is the mother of Isabela (9) and Davi (1) and stepmother of Maitê (8) and Lara (5). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
