Training Coordinator at UNESCO for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, through the International Programme for Data and Information Exchange (IODE), and the Government of Flanders, Belgium. She is currently dedicated to promoting knowledge sharing, learning, and the development of institutional and individual capacities, in conjunction with global decision-making.She holds a PhD in Oceanography from the University of São Paulo, with an internship abroad at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. She was part of research groups in Benthic Ecology, Marine Phytoplankton Ecology, and Bio-Optical Oceanography, where she participated in the National Programs on Climate Change and Long-Term Ecological Research (PELD). She has dedicated herself to studies on marine biodiversity patterns, bentho-pelagial dynamics, and meteo-oceanography. She has collaborated on scientific projects in coastal ecosystems, focusing on long-term observatories, climate change, and ecological indicators. She has been a member of several international marine biodiversity observation networks, including the Marine Biodiversity Observation Network (MBON), the Ocean Best Practices System (OBPS), and the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR). She is a reviewer for Marine Biodiversity, PeerJ, and Frontiers in Marine Science. She is a co-founder of the nonprofit Deep Blue. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
