Professor at the State University of Campinas at the School of Applied Sciences of UNICAMP. Graduated in Physical Education by PUC-Campinas (2002) and completed master's degree (2007), doctorate (2010), and postdoctoral (2011) at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of UNICAMP and concluded post-doctorate at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL - Switzerland), supervised by Dr. Johan Auwerx. Dr. Ropelle is a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Obesity and Diabetes and the OCRC - Center for Research on Obesity and Comorbidities (CEPID / FAPESP). Currently, he is coordinating a thematic research project at FAPESP. He has experience in the molecular biology of exercise, investigating the effects of exercise in mouse models of obesity and aging. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
