Mateus Moreira de Melo

Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Matemática e Estatística (IME)  (Institutional affiliation for the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I received a PhD degree in mathematics from IMPA in May 2019 under the supervision of Henrique Bursztyn and Matias del Hoyo. Since then I have held post-doctoral positions at Federal University of São Carlos (2019-2020), and at University of São Paulo (2020 - currently). My main research interests lie at the interface of differential geometry and Lie theory, particularly Riemannian and Poisson geometry and their connections with Lie groupoids. I have also been involved with teaching activities at various levels, including outreach activities in public schools as well as acting as a TA for graduate courses. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
