André Marcorin de Oliveira obtained his D. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (Systems Engineering) from the Polytechnic School (POLI) of the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. He was a visiting Ph.D. student at the Research Center for Automatic Control of Nancy (CNRA) of the University of Lorraine (UL), France. He obtained his M.Sc. and B.Eng. degrees from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC) of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. Undergraduate award recipient for best student of the Electrical Engineering course at UNICAMP. He was Postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo. Currently, he is a Professor at the Institute of Science and Technology (ICT) of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP).
