Associate Professor in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at Ribeirao Preto Medical School from the University of Sao Paulo. Graduation in Biomedical Sciences from Federal University of Sao Paulo (2003), Master's in Medical Science from Osaka University (2007), PhD in Medical Science (2010), and post-doctorate from Osaka University (2010-2012). Assistant professor in the Department of Vascular Medicine and Epigenetics at Osaka University (2012-2013).She investigates the RANK-RANKL signaling in white and beige adipocyte differentiation, mitochondrial biogenesis in skeletal muscle, and macrophage phenotypic. She also does research on the interaction of virus such as SARS-CoV-2 and Chikungunya with lipid droplets. Has experience in Cell and Tissue Biology, and teaches Histology classes for undergraduate and graduate students. Coordinates the Center for Evaluation of the Teaching in Undergraduate Courses from the Ribeirao Preto Medical School, University of Sao Paulo. Was on maternity leave in 2018.
