Graduated in Biological Sciences (20012004) and earned a Master's degree in Animal Science (2006-2008) from the Universidade do Oeste Paulista (UNOESTE, Presidente Prudente, SP). He completed his PhD in Pharmacology (2010-2014) at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP, Campinas, SP), with a sandwich doctorate (2013) at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde (SIPBS, Glasgow, Scotland), supported by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq, Brasília, DF). He achieved his postdoctoral degree in Pharmacology (2015-2018) at UNICAMP and SIPBS (Glasgow, Scotland), with support from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, São Paulo, SP). Currently, Dr. Floriano holds the position of Visiting Researcher (20252026) at the Neuroscience Laboratory of SIPBS (Glasgow, Scotland), with support from FAPESP. His scientific work focuses on the structural and pharmacological characterisation of bioactive components from animal venoms, including studies on synthetic enzyme inhibitors that are potentially applicable as complementary therapies to antivenoms. He is a Permanent Faculty Member in the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Health Sciences and Animal Science and a Full Professor of Pharmacology, Biotechnology, and Tissue Biology in the Undergraduate Biomedicine Program at UNOESTE, where he also heads the Laboratory of Toxinology and Cardiovascular Research.
