Visiting Scholar at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris, under the supervision of Professor Frédéric Lebaron, where he conducts research on cultural practices and plant and flower consumption in Brazil and France. PhD candidate in Social Sciences at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), where he also earned his masters degree. Research fellow at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) since 2016, working under different funding schemes (TT1, IC, MS, and DR). Since 2015, he has been a member of NESPOM (Research Group on Emotions, Society, Power, Organization, and Market). Currently, his research focuses on the consumption of ornamental plants, analyzing the relationships between the social construction of taste and emotions. His academic interests include Economic Sociology, Cultural Sociology, and the Sociology of Emotions, with a particular focus on the interplay between cultural practices, consumption patterns, and social distinction. He has expertise in Data Science applied to Social Sciences, employing Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA), Content Analysis (CA), and Social Network Analysis (SNA) to examine consumption patterns, cultural practices, and the social construction of markets.
