Tenured Associate Professor (Livre- Docente) in Aquaculture and Circular Economy at São Paulo State University (UNESP). Holds a PhD in Animal Sciences from the University of Brasília (UnB), including a sandwich doctoral program (SWP) at the University of Guelph, Department of Biosciences, Ontario, Canada. Certified by the U.S. National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (I-Corps) for startup and spin-off mentoring, initiative from University of California, Berkeley. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in applied bioinnovation in aquaculture.Holds a Master's degree in Fisheries Engineering and Aquatic Resources, and a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, both from the State University of Western Paraná (UNIOESTE). From 2008 to 2010, served as President of the Instituto Água Viva, leading research, extension, and technological innovation projects in aquaculture and fisheries. From 2010 to 2015, served in the Coordination for Aquaculture Planning and Management in Federal Waters at the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) and the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPA).Worked for six years as a consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO/UN), conducting project analyses related to the aquaculture value chain, emerging technologies, and carrying capacity assessments of water resources.Has served as a Scientific Reviewer for the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTIC), the AgTech Acceleration Program, and the FAPESP Research Program on Global Climate Change (PFPMCG) and Technological Innovation. At UNESP, I held the positions of Advisor to the Rector and Entrepreneurship Manager at the UNESP Innovation Agency (AUIN) from 2017 to 2020. Coordinated the Academic Master's and PhD Program for Innovation (CNPq/UNESP) from 2019 to 2021.Co-founded the Aquário de Ideias Innovation Hub, Incubator for Science- and Technology-Based Companies, and the São Paulo Innovation Environments Network (API).Currently, he is an Associate Professor at UNESP, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Bioeconomy and Innovation, Agribusiness and Sustainable Aquaculture Projects, and Rural Extension and Entrepreneurship. He is also a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Aquaculture (Caunesp) and a board member of the Advanced Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI 2) and the UNESP Business Incubator.He is affiliated with the Research Center for Biodiversity and Climate Change (CBioClima CEPID/FAPESP) and the National Institute of Science and Technology in Nanotechnology for Sustainable Agriculture (INCT NanoAgro CNPq/CAPES/FAPESP), developing research, innovation projects, and mentorship for startups and spin-offs in the fields of Aquaculture, Bioeconomy, and Bioinnovation.
