I was born in Estrela, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. My first studies were at Colégio Santo Antônio, in Estrela. I made Bachelor's in Mathematics in Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2004), master in Mathematics in Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2007) and doctorate in Mathematics in Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2010). Since 2011 I teaches Mathematics at the Departamento de Matemática da Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos, as an assistant professor until 2019 and associate professor from 2019. I work with the problem of global injectivity, in the areas of dynamical systems and analysis. As hobby I do woodworking and play the trombone. I am married to Meire Pereira de Souza Braun, and I have a daughter, Isabela Braun. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)

Let F: R^n -> R^n be a C^infinity map such that its Jacobian determinant has no zeros. This project presents some directions in the investigation of additional conditions guarantying the global injectivity of F. This project aims to study the bifurcation set of a real polynomial function in two real variables and also its connections with other mathematical problems. The project is divided into two main parts: the bifurcation set and its characterization in terms of vanishing and splitting at infinity phenomena and Lipschitz equivalence of real and also complex polynomial functions.
