Postdoctoral Fellow at Teagasc - Agriculture and Food Development Authority (Ireland), working on the AshforFuture project, focused on the use of omics in the genetic improvement of ash (Fraxinus excelsior) for tolerance to ash dieback caused by the fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Campinas (2024), with a year abroad at the University of Warwick (UK), where he worked with genomics and transcriptomics to investigate resistance to viruses in polyploid crops and plant-vector-pathogen interactions. Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, with a year abroad at the University of York (UK).
