B.Sc in Teach Training (Physics) with a MSc and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering (University of São Paulo-USP). He was Visiting Researcher in University of Auckland (MacDiarmid Institute). Has experience in nanotechnology and nanoscience, bioelectronics, biomaterials, materials engineering and teaching (sciences and physics), working on the following topics: Biosensors, Electronic Tongues and Electronic Noses for early diagnosis of diseases, biomaterials for tissue regeneration, nanostructured films (LbL, SAM), nanocomposites, information visualization (IDMAP, Sammons Map, PCA) and physical and mechanical properties of heat treated wood. His PhD thesis was awarded by USP (USP Outstanding Thesis Award- Best Ph.D Thesis- Multidisciplinary) and CAPES (CAPES Thesis Award- Best Ph.D Thesis and Materials Science and The Great CAPES Thesis Award- Best Ph.D Thesis -Engineering, Exact and Earth Sciences, Multidisciplinary, Materials and Biotechnology). He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Embrapa Instrumentation (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
