Undergraduation in Dentistry at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - FOAr./Unesp (1987), and graduation (Master and Phd degrees) at Oral Pathology at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas - FOP/Unicamp (1990 - 1996). He is currently Full Professor at FOAr./Unesp where coordinate the Laboratory of Experimental Pathology and Biomaterials (LPEB) and the Laboratory of Tissue Regeneration and Implantology (LRTI). Published more than 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 45 chapters in textbooks. Mentored more than 160 researches in different levels (Scientific Initiation, Master, PhD, and Pos-Doctoral Training programs). Received more than 160 national and international scientific awards. Expertise fields: in vitro cytotoxicity of dental products, in vivo response of dental pulp to dental materials, cells culture, pulp-dentin complex regeneration, development of novel dental products.
