Adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics at the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE and Member of the Council of the Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics - SBMAC (2024-2027). He works as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Statistics-PPGE / UFPE, and as Coordinator of Regional Division 3 (Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco) of SBMAC. He also serves as associate editor of the journal Pesquisa Operacional para o Desenvolvimento, from the Brazilian Society of Operational Research-SOBRAPO, and as academic editor of the journal PLOS ONE. He holds a Livre-docência in Probability and Discrete Mathematics from ICMC-USP (2019); doctorate and master's degree in Statistics from IME-USP (2010 and 2007, resp.) and degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia "San Juan Bosco" in Argentina (2004). He was President of SBMAC for two terms (2020-2021 and 2022-2023) and First Secretary of the same Society during the 2018-2019 Biennium. He was an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at ICMC-USP (Jan/2012 to Mar/2019). He carried out research internships at the Laboratoire de Probabilités et Modèles Aléatoires at Université Paris Diderot (Aug/2015 to Aug/2016) and at the State University of Campinas (Nov/2010 to Dec/2011). He has coordinated projects funded by FACEPE, FAPESP, CNPq and CAPES. He coordinated the Local Commission of the XLIII CNMAC of the SBMAC (2024, Porto de Galinhas, PE), the National Commission of the XXXIX CNMAC (2019, Uberlândia, MG) and he coordinated at least 13 other scientific events. He participated in the organization of 15 other events, he was a co-creater of the Workshop on Applied Statistics and Stochastic Processes (WASSP) linked to the Graduate Program in Statistics of UFPE, and of the Workshop on Probabilistic and Statistical Methods linked to the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program in Statistics USP / UFSCar-PIPGEs in São Carlos, SP. He has experience in the areas of Probability and Applied Mathematics, with an emphasis on special stochastic processes in graphs and applications, working mainly on stochastic rumors, interacting particle systems, percolation, random graphs, branching processes, stochastic modeling of complex systems and evolution algebras. We will study special stochastic processes on graphs. The considered processes are inspired by biological questions or appear as a natural extension of well-known models from the scientific literature. The research activities will focus on studying the asymptotic behavior of such processes. (AU)
