Coordinator of a network of six Brazilian universities aiming the study of drought tolerance in sugarcane. Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, Inova UNICAMP Innovation Agency (2008-2010). Member of the Council for Biotechnology Information (2004 present). Member of the biosafety commission of the Brazilian Society of Genetics (2004-2008). Member of the working group on intellectual property in the FAPESP Bioenergy Program (BIOEN).
