Juliana Araujo Teixeira

She holds a degree in Nutrition (2006) from the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo, where she also completed her Masters (2009) and Ph.D. (2018) in Public Health Nutrition. Her academic background includes a research internship abroad at the School of Population Health, The University of Auckland, New Zealand, and scholarships from FAPESP and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University (DRCLAS), Brazil. She has worked as a nutritionist in the Family Health Support Center within Primary Health Care and served as coordinator of nutrition and health teams for the SP Educação com Saúde Program (20102013). She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Brazilian Center for Applied Research in Early Childhood (CPAPIInsper). She also served as a substitute professor in the Department of Public Policy and Collective Health at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and is a permanent faculty member in the Professional Masters Program in Public Health at the Health Institute (CRH/SES-SP). Furthermore, she was a consultant for the Maria Cecília Souto Vidigal Foundation under a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Health to support IBGE in the development of the early childhood development supplement of the 2022 Continuous PNAD (National Household Sample Survey). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Society at the School of Public Health, University of São Paulo. Her expertise lies in the field of Public Health, with a focus on nutritional epidemiology, dietary assessment, maternal and child nutrition and health, early childhood, and primary health care.
