Bruno Vinícius Manzolli Rodrigues

Senior Researcher and Lecturer at Bergische Universität Wuppertal (Wuppertal, Germany) in the field of Sustainable Chemistry, focused on the development of materials and methods for environmental and energy applications. Current research topics are centered on the study, development, and optimization of interfaces in hybrid organic-inorganic materials, reductive electrochemical depolymerization of biomass-derived polymers, lithium-ion battery recycling, and advanced characterization of nanostructured materials. Previously, served as a Full Professor at Universidade Brasil (São Paulo, Brazil), where he coordinated the Laboratory of Applied Nanosciences and Plasma Technology from 2016 to 2022. He has postdoctoral experience both in Brazil and abroad (Stockholm University, as a fellow of the Olle-Engkvist Foundation from 20202022). He also worked as a Senior Researcher at Stockholm University (2022). He has national (Brazil) and international (Germany and Qatar) teaching experience. He has coordinated research projects funded by agencies such as FAPESP and CNPq and has participated as an associate researcher in other initiatives. His expertise includes nanostructured biomaterials, focusing on the development of materials for biomedical applications, and sustainable chemistry, especially energy and biomass conversion into high value-added materials. He serves as a reviewer for national and international funding agencies and has authored over 65 articles in high-impact journals with selective editorial policies, including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nanoscale, ACS Sustainable Chemistry Engineering, ChemSusChem, Materials Science Engineering C, among others.
