She has a degree in Physical Education (Unicamp, 2008), a master's degree in Physical Education (Unicamp, 2011) and a PhD in Education (Unicamp, 2016). She teaches in the Department of Physical Education at the Federal University of Viçosa. She was a lecturer on the Physical Education Degree and the Physical Education Master's Programme (ISEF/UdelaR, Uruguay). She is a Level 1 associate researcher of the National System of Researchers of the National Research and Innovation Agency (SNI/ANII, Uruguay). She received a Fapesp scholarship for her master's and doctorate and was also awarded a BEPE/Fapesp scholarship for a research internship at the Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität Münster/Germany in 2013. She is a member of the Joe Arbena Latin-American Sport History Grant Committee of the North American Society for Sport History (NASSH) and the International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport board.
