Verônica Garcia Donoso is a Professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). From 2022 to 2024, she carried out postdoctoral research at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, with support from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (2017), during which she conducted part of her doctoral research at the Instituto de la Vivienda of the University of Chile. She has been a researcher with the QUAPÁ-FAUUSP group since 2009, which is the most active Brazilian research group focused on the Open Space System (SEL) and urban form. She was the coordinator of the Architecture and Urbanism program at UFSMs Cachoeira do Sul campus from August 2020 to February 2022. In 2013, she was a researcher at the José Bonifácio Chair of the University of São Paulo, under the coordination of former Chilean president Ricardo Lagos. She holds a Masters degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (2011). She earned her undergraduate degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (2007), including an exchange program at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble (20052006). She has experience in the field of Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on Landscape Planning, Landscape Design, Social Landscape and Urban Space Design. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
