Holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), a Ph.D. in Geography from São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), campus of Presidente Prudente/SP, and has completed postdoctoral research at the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2020) and at the Department of Geography of the University of São Paulo (USP, 2025), supported by PDS/CNPq.Previously held tenure-track faculty positions in undergraduate and graduate Geography programs at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and UNESP (Ourinhos/SP and Presidente Prudente/SP campuses), and was a Research Productivity Fellow at UNESP.Currently serves as an Associate Professor IV in the Department of Geosciences at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and as a permanent faculty member in the Graduate Program in Geography at the same institution, which he coordinated from 2013 to 2015.He is the leader of the Research Group on Regional Development and Infrastructure (GEDRI), coordinator of the Laboratory for Studies on Circulation, Transport, and Logistics (LABCIT), and a member of the Transport Studies Group at UNILA (NETRANS/UNILA).Since 2011, he has held a Research Productivity Fellowship from CNPq (Level 2). Co-founder of the Brazilian Society for Transport Research (SBPT).Has experience in the fields of Economic, Urban, and Regional Geography, with an emphasis on the Geography of Circulation, Transport and Logistics; Regional and Urban Development; Transport and Infrastructure Planning; as well as urban and regional mobility and accessibility.
