Cloddoaldo Grotta Ragazzo holds a bachelor's degree in Biosciences (1986) and Naval Engineering (1986), both from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Institute of Physics at USP (1989). Currently, he is a full professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo, where he served as director from April 2014 to March 2018. His research focuses on Mathematics, with an emphasis on celestial mechanics with dissipative forces (tides), ordinary differential equations, Hamiltonian systems, fluid mechanics, and delay differential equations.
