Full professor of Sociology of Communication in the Department of Human Sciences, Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Communication at Unesp - São Paulo State University, Brazil. Bachelor of Communication, Master in Communication and PhD in Sociology from Unesp. Postdoctorate by the Open University, United Kingdom (Visiting Research Fellow, 2006-2007) and the UFSCar (Federal University of Sao Carlos), where he was a fellow Prodoc/Capes (2008-2009) in the Postgraduate Program in Science, Technology and Society. Visiting Fellow at University of Warwick, King's College London and Open University (United Kingdom). Working mainly with the following subjects: sociology of communication; theory and ethics of journalism; public communication, digital democracy; popularization of science.
