Associate Professor retired. He has a BA in Economic Sciences (Universidade de São Paulo -USP, 1980), a Master Degree in History (Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP, 1988), and a Ph.D.in Sociology (New School For Social Research, 1993).He has also an Habilitation (livre docência) in Sociology (UNICAMP, 2008). His main research interests include Sociological Theory, Critical Social Theory, and Theories of Social Justice, with emphasis in themes like Work, Citizenship, Recognition, and Basic Income.
