Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at São Paulo State University (UNESP/CAr), currently an Assistant Professor (MS3.2) at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (IQSC-USP). He completed postdoctoral research in the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, UNESP/Araraquara (20112017), and at the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) at the University of Adelaide, Australia (20132014). He holds a Masters degree in Space Engineering and Technology with a focus on Material Sciences and Sensors from the National Institute for Space Research (2007) and a PhD in Chemistry, specializing in Inorganic Chemistry and Glass Materials, from the Institute of Chemistry, UNESP/Araraquara (2011). Currently, he is the tutor of the PET Chemistry group at IQSC and coordinates the Laboratory of Inorganic and Glass Materials (LaMIV) at IQSC-USP. He has extensive experience in Materials Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry, with a focus on inorganic, glass, glass-ceramic, ceramic materials, and optical fibers. His work is centered on the synthesis of optically active inorganic and glass materials, waveguides, optical sensors, and specialty glasses (non-silica), employing various structural, thermal, and optical characterization techniques for photonic applications.
